Week Ten is one of the most critical weeks of the season for the (5-4) Chiefs’ team as they take on the (5-3) Raiders in Vegas. This game has huge playoff implications, as the Chiefs could jump to either number two or one spot in the AFC West standings, varying on if they win and how the Broncos’ and Chargers’ games go. With the Chiefs’ defense strengthening up and the offense slacking, it’s hard to 100% determine how this Week Ten game will go.
Well, here at Red Kingdom, we are bringing you our staff predictions for this Sunday Night Football match-up. Without further ado, let’s go straight into the predictions:
Hunter Stanton, Managing Editor
This game will be challenging for the Chiefs’ offense as they have been struggling against defenses from the lackluster Giants to the more prominent Packers. While that may be true, the defense’s revitalization is in full swing, primarily with the addition of Melvin Ingram; he has been making the lives of Frank Clark and Chris Jones a whole lot easier. I don’t expect this game to be high-scoring; however, I see the Chiefs pulling away in this one.

The Raiders currently boast the fourth-best passing offense in the league. This will be a much tougher test for the Chiefs on the road than we saw in the Jordan Love-led Packers last week. The Chiefs’ new pass rush should continue to make an impact, and Mahomes will finally break back out in this one.
Chiefs 30 – Raiders 21

There is no shortage of storylines going into this AFC West match-up. One of the most underrated might be the Raiders pass rush vs. the Chiefs recently renovated offensive line. While the Chiefs have been dominant on the inside, their tackles have struggled, especially if KC has to run third-string right tackle Andrew Wylie out there against Maxx Crosby. However, the Chiefs’ defense improvement is for real, and the Raiders’ offensive line is in shambles. This feels like an opportunity for KC to run to victory with a strong run game.
Chiefs 28 – Raiders 20

This is easily the biggest game of the season, and KC needs this win badly. Mahomes and company will need to put on their best performance of the season. Primetime game for the division and the AFC race, I can’t ask for much more on SNF. Chiefs take round one of this match-up with Vegas.
Chiefs 27 – Raiders 24

With their backs against the wall, the Chiefs return to form in a playoff atmosphere after a few glimpses of the last two weeks. With the surprising energy shot from Melvin Ingram, the defense keeps up their pressure from last week’s game and harasses Derek Carr endlessly all game long. Mahomes picks up from his third-down throw to Hill to seal the victory against Green Bay with renewed confidence. Behind a strong run game against a Raiders defense who struggle defending the fun, the offense looks more like the 2019 version the Kingdom has been waiting to emerge.
Chiefs 31 – Raiders 13
