Fantasy Football Rankings Plus Draft Day Tips

Fantasy Football Rankings Plus Draft Day Tips

Fantasy football drafts are going to be taking place all over the country this beautiful labor day weekend. This is one of the most wonderful times of the year! Fantasy football rankings are important and I am here to help with that.

However, every year critical mistakes are made during these home league drafts. For example, we all know the friend who drinks too much and is trying to draft someone taken three rounds earlier. Additionally, we’ve all seen the person that isn’t paying attention and they take forever when it is their turn. Don’t be these people.

As you can guess, those are just a couple of the often made mistakes. To avoid those mistakes and maximize your fantasy football experience, I have compiled a shortlist of draft day tips.

Tips

  1. Don’t drink too much too early- you don’t want to be completely out of it by the sixth round… or maybe you do? Shots anyone?
  2. Know the room- understand what the tendencies are of the people you draft with. Is it a RB heavy room, zero RB, etc.?
  3. Get your guy- if you like someone, go get them. Don’t worry what other people are saying on them.
  4. Find a good spot next to the food- this goes without saying.
  5. Understand the scoring system/starting lineup rules in your league- know if it is .5 PPR, or full point, superflex etc. Seems obvious, but you’d be surprised.
  6. Be ready to adjust- no matter how much planning you do things are going to change throughout the draft. Be ready to call an audible.
  7. Have fun- this is meant to be fun. If you are taking it too serious, maybe find a new hobby.

Now that know some important tips for your fantasy football draft. The next step is knowing the players. However, if you are not up to date on which team a player may be on now, who is getting that lead running back role or which players are getting hyped this offseason, no problem! I have got you covered.

For these rankings, I used a tool to do a stat projection for every player at their position. From those projections, I came up with their ranking. Here are my 2021 fantasy rankings per position:
